Jon Boy's weekend started of with his new leathers not fitting him, so with that he put on last years leathers and qualified 3rd on the grid. The race was going well when Jon made a slight mistake that put him out of the race. Glad to say Jon Boy was unharmed and thinking about Donnington.
Donnington
7th - 9 th April
The weather started out sunny and warm for Friday and Saturday's qualifying and things were going ok for Jon Boy, he was 14th on the grid. Sunday the weather broke and down came the rain, snow and hail, rider's and bikes were going down one after another. Jon Boy was going well until he made a small error and left the track, Jon tried to re-mount but the bike would not start putting pay to his race. Roll on better weather and Thruxton.
Thruxton 14th-17th April
Well what a weekend Thruxton did not disappoint us, Jon Boy rode great in qualifying and was 9th on the grid. Monday the weather conditions were just right and Jon Boy finished the race in 8th with his team mates Steve Brogan 2nd and Steve Allan 15th. So WELL DONE team Nvidia and best of all 8 points for Jon Boy. Roll on Oulton Park and hope we get some more points.
Oulton Park 29th April - 1st May
Oulton Park did not disapoint us with Jon Boy starting 20th on the grid he had his work cut out.
But Jon Boy did just that he rode into 12th and 4 more points, even with a problem on the bike.
Keep getting them points Jon Boy and good luck for Mondello park.
Mondello Park 19th - 21st May
“Due to the constant heavy rain we were unable to prepare the circuit in a suitable manner for competition. We ran wet warm-up sessions in the morning for the Supersport, Superbikes and Superstock classes. At 2pm we we consulted with Mondello and Dorna and made a joint decision to cancel the event. The Superbike races will not be rescheduled. The 125cc race will become a double-header at Mallory Park. We will make a decision concerning the Supersport and Superstock races over the next few days.”
The weather conditions did not just affect the British Superbike Championship. Two other major sporting events in the local vicinity, horse racing at Naas and Nissan Irish Open golf, were both cancelled due to the adverse conditions.
Snetterton 16th - 18th June
Well after the rotten weather at Mondello, we all knew it could only get better with blue sky's and sunshine Jon Boy was to get 12th on the grid.
A few laps into the race one of Jon Boy's team mates had to retire with technical problems, only to go a few more laps when his other team mate also had to retire with technical problems. Leaving Jon Boy to fight hard to bring it home in 10th place, Jon Boy also had some problems with his bike so very well done to him and 6 more points.
keep up the good work with the double header at Donnington Park (GP Weekend)
Donnington Park 30th JUNE - 1st 2nd JULY
DOUBLE HEADER
Every thing started well at Donnington even though we only had 2 qualifying sessions and no free practice. With Lisa not racing at this race Brent worked with Gary on my bike, we made big improvements to the forks which for the first time had me out run my team mates although all 3 of us in 8th, 9th and 10th we were split on the grid by 0.014. I was pleased with this as it shows that the Team work hard to give each rider the same and best they can.
In the race my start was ok but I got pushed on the grass down Craner droping me back to 15th then I crashed at the esses. I was taken to the track medicle centre especially to disturb the England game with a dislocated left shoulder. I was then taken to Nottingham where they sorted everything out and back to the track. I was not able to race on the Sunday, I am gutted at the result and very sorry for all the wasted hard work and can only look forward to Knockhill.
The above is all in Jon Boy's words.
But due to his accident he will not be racing at Knockhill.
Sorry to say that
Jon Boy has been advised by the Hospital not to race this weekend at Oulton Park, but his injury's are getting better and he is feeling ok in him self.
